| STA-RTCW Update... | 10:26pm EST | Gotcha! | Greetings, All !! It is time for us to re-evaluate the status of RTCW within STA.
Like many of you, I am of the belief that Wolf yet lives... that there are still good games to be played, new strats to be tried and tested and greater victories yet to be claimed. STA-RTCW LL Shrub 6v6 has just completed its 2nd full season of competition. There has also been discussion and interest in the creation of a couple of new RTCW leagues - RTCW UL Shrub 6v6 w/Panzer and RTCW LL Shrub 3v3 DeathMatch.

| STA RTCW Admin Change | 7:20pm EST | GRB | STA and Head Admin Trinners have decided to go a different direction. We feel it is in the best interest of both parties if we parted ways. STA would like to thank Trinners for her hard work as an admin and wish her good luck in her future endeavors.

| Out of the Ashes... | 10:58am EST | Trinners | STA isn't ready to give up on RTCW. There is a dedicated group of Wolfers that are determined not to see the game die and STA wants to keep that spirit going. To that end, we are reviving the other RTCW league and creating an unlimited lives Shrub league. This league will feature a 6v6 format with a 1 panzer limit. Matches will be played on either Mondays or Tuesdays at 21:30 EST (9:30PM) based on clan feedback.
If all goes well, competition should start in mid-July. Please join our discussion on the forums with regard to match nights, maps, et cetera. |

| STA-RTCW OSP league to fold... | 12:28pm EST | Trinners | We at STA have come to the conclusion that OSP has outlived itself in STA. We are going to close down the OSP league and re-evaluate RTCW options in order to offer a fun, yet competitive venue that would meet the needs of the community and perhaps fill a unique void. So far, we have been asked to create a Bani and/or OLTL Shrub (w/ xSTAB) league.
STA is more than willing to create such a league given that the community is ready to stand behind the endeavor. We request 14 teams to start the league.
Two forum threads have been created on these topics: Bani League | OLTL Shrub (w/ xSTAB) League. If you have other ideas, please drop us a line on the RTCW forums.
The STA-RTCW Shrub league, meanwhile, kicks off this Sunday, May 1st with action on Assault. Teams may join through Week #3 and still be eligible for the playoffs. The league features a 6v6 format with no panzers and limited lives (6).
It is with a sad heart that we close down the OSP league. Many thanks and best wishes to the teams that have played over the years. Special shout out to SSI, who was a faithful clan for many years. |

| 5 vs 5 or 6 vs 6, You Decide the Outcome | 10:25am EST | syntrocon | Okay Wolf World, we have a dilemma...5 on 5 or 6 on 6. We have gotten Feedback for both of these and it's gotten to where we need to know from you, What you want. We are the Admins, You are the Community. We are here to give you what you want. We need your help with this decision. Captains of all STA-OSP teams are encouraged to go to the Polls and vote for what you and your team wants. Polls will be closed Friday, April 22, 2005 at 12 Midnight, so make your vote count NOW. Remember, You, The Community has a Very Big Say in what we do. Help us out.

| Announcing: Season #8 | 10:15am EST | Trinners | STA is introducing a few changes to reflect changes to the community. Starting in Season #8, which will begin on Monday, May 2nd, STA will feature the OSP mod in a 5v5 format. We are currently debating whether or not to allow 1 panzer in this configuration so please share your thoughts on the forums.
In addition, STA is going to go with an all custom map season. If there is a custom map you've been dying to play in competition, again please share your thoughts in the forums. Please keep in mind that all custom maps need to be reviewed for bugs first.
We are currently accepting applications for the upcoming season so spread the word with your fellow clans. Meanwhile, please join us in welcoming our latest additions: <asc>, Divine MultiGaming, and Dogz of Destruction.
One final note, Season #8 will feature no preseason. There will, however, be: an 8-week regular season, playoffs, and a probowl. |
